Roger Hoit held the position of Managing Director in the Global Financial Sponsors Group at Morgan Stanley before becoming a member of the Moelis & Company team. He firmly established himself as the preeminent counsel to financial sponsors and the portfolio firms they manage on matters pertaining to the potential for strategic deals and investments. Before that, Roger worked at Gleacher & Co. and SG Cowen, which is a part of Société Générale. There, he held the roles of Managing Director and Partner. He began his professional life by working with PaineWebber, Inc. Amherst College awarded Roger a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics while he attended there. Hoit is recognized as one of the best amateur golfers both domestically and internationally. Over the course of his career, he has earned a spot in over 25 USGA and Royal & Ancient National Championships and competed in each of them.
